  • How do I create a guest account?
    Create your guest account invitation by clicking the following link for the Applicant Guest Account Creation Process: http://www.inviteapp.banner.vt.edu
  • I attempted to create my guest account using the link in the invitation email and received an error message. What do I do now?
    Your guest account invitation will be sent once you submit your information on the Applicant Guest Account Creation Process page. Your guest account must be created using the link in this email message. You will have 48 hours to create your guest account. If more than 48 hours has passed, you will get an "invalid ticket" message if you attempt to click on the invitation link. You must create your guest account invitation again by clicking the following link for the Applicant Guest Account Creation Process: http://www.inviteapp.banner.vt.edu
  • I have forgotten my Guest Account password. How do I reset it?

    Go to: https://webapps.es.vt.edu/gams/reset.do

    A password reset ticket will be sent to the third party email address associated with your guest account. You will have 30 minutes to reset the password on your guest account. If more than 30 minutes has passed, you will get an "invalid ticket" message if you attempt to click on the password reset link. You must then reset your guest account password again by using the link above.

  • I lost the link to login to the application status page. Where is it?
  • The Applicant Guest Account Creation Process page says I should have received a guest account invitation, but I never got any emails. What should I do now?
    First check your spam filters for the guest account invitation email and add PleaseDoNotReply@vt.edu to your address book. Once 48 hours has passed then you may repeat the Applicant Guest Account Creation Process by clicking the following link: http://www.inviteapp.banner.vt.edu
  • When I register as a guest, do I need to give my address and phone number?
    You are only required to enter your first and last name. Entering other data is optional.
  • When does my guest account expire?
    Your guest account will expire after the start of the term for which you applied.
  • When I clicked on the link in my guest account invitation, the web page I went to said my ticket has already been processed. What should I do now?

    To see if you already created a Guest Account, go to: https://webapps.es.vt.edu/gams/login.jsp

    If your Guest Account has been created, you can request a password rest. If you get a message that your Guest Account is unknown, you must create your guest account invitation again by clicking the following Applicant Guest Account Creation Process link: http://www.inviteapp.banner.vt.edu
