Status Page e-mail example
From: VT Undergraduate Admissions [admiss@vt.edu]
Subject: Virginia Tech Status Page
Dear Virginia Tech Applicant,
Please print or write this important information down, and keep it in a safe place. You will need this information in the near future, as described below.
Your guest access e-mail address (to view your application status) is:
[your email address]
**Your password is the one that you created (or will create) by following the instructions in the e-mail with the subject line "Virginia Tech Guest Account Invitation."
Why is this information important?
1. You will need you Guest ID for the application status page to track receipt of test scores and transcripts.
2. If offered admission, your financial aid and scholarship award information will be posted on the status page.
3. If offered admission, you will need to verify that we have received your final official transcript.Access the application status page at [link here] using your Guest ID and the password you created when you activated that account. (See the e-mail with the subject "Virginia Tech Guest Account Invitation" for information about creating your guest account and password, if you have not already done so.)
Click on "Admission Term" to see your status. Be sure to verify that all information on the page is correct.
Should you need to make a change to your application, follow the instructions at http://www.admiss.vt.edu/apply/appchange.php (do NOT submit another application).
The highest SAT/ACT scores we have received are reflected. If you retake the SAT or ACT, make sure to have scores reported to Virginia Tech (CEEB Code 5859, ACT Code 4420).
Please allow two to four weeks for any new information to be received, processed, and reflected on the application status page. If more than four weeks have passed and there is no date in the "Received" column, you should assume that we have not received your updated information and you should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. (Updated transcripts and fall semester grades sent after the initial submission will not be posted on this summary page. The receipt date of final official transcripts will be posted.)
You will find a helpful Application Checklist at http://www.admiss.vt.edu/apply/freshman/checklist.php. Please let us know if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Virginia Tech
