Virginia Tech provides opportunities for individuals who are not seeking a degree from the university, but who wish to continue their education by taking courses at Virginia Tech for college credit. Non-degree students, or students who are not pursuing a degree at this time, include: highly qualified high school students, students enrolled at other colleges or universities, university faculty/staff, members of the community, senior citizens, or college graduates who wish to take undergraduate-level courses. (NOTE: Non-degree-seeking students who wish to take graduate-level courses must apply through the Graduate School at http://graduateschool.vt.edu as a Commonwealth Scholar.)
Please note, due to U.S. Visa requirements, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply as a non-degree-seeking student.

Within 24 hours of Virginia Tech's receipt of your application you should receive:
When we have received all your materials to complete your application, we will mail you a decision letter. Once you have been offered admission, follow the directions in the letter to be cleared to register for classes.
