Agricultural and Applied Economics

The agricultural and applied economics program provides an excellent path to merge interests in agriculture, business, community development, international development, and the environment. Course work in business, agricultural production, environment, public policy, financial planning, and economics prepares students to make financial, marketing, management, and public policy decisions that affect farms, families, agribusiness, and the environment.

Degree options include agribusiness management, environmental economics and management, financial planning, international trade and development, community economic development, and veterinary business management. Specialty areas include agricultural finance, marketing, futures and prices, farm business management, and small business management. Course flexibility allows students to design a program based on individual interests. This program also can serve as a pre-law or pre-veterinary medicine program.
