Agricultural Technology
This two-year program prepares students for a wide variety of managerial and technical jobs. Graduates receive an associate of agriculture degree.
An occupational internship is required and usually fulfilled during the summer between the first and second years. Options include applied agricultural management and landscape and turfgrass management. Areas of specialization include agribusiness management, livestock management, landscape design, landscape construction, landscape maintenance, and sports turf management.
Students must apply directly to the Agricultural Technology Program for admission. Selected credits from this program can be applied toward a four-year degree in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech. Students meeting specific requirements can use an articulation agreement to automatically be accepted into unrestricted majors within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
