Humanities, Science, and Environment

The degree program in humanities, science, and environment (HSE) provides an interdisciplinary approach to environmental issues. It integrates cultural, scientific, and political approaches to understand the relationship between people and the natural world, in historical and contemporary contexts.

The degree is housed in the Department of Science and Technology in Society, but includes courses from many other departments. There is a wide range of postgraduate opportunities for HSE majors. If knowledge about the environment is inviting to you, and you are concerned about today's vital environmental challenges, consider looking into this major.
