Spanish
Virginia Tech offers a Spanish program for majors, double majors, minors, and interested students with specific proficiency-level goals. Furthermore, Tech provides diagnostic testing to help determine proper entry into the program at first, second or third-year levels. We accept credit for Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate work and offer a wide range of courses in Hispanic literature, culture, civilization, linguistics and business. There is a two-week intensive summer immersion program for graduate and advanced undergraduate students, and students have multiple study abroad options including a Summer program for six weeks in Spain, a year-long or semester-long exchange program in Ecuador, and exchange programs throughout the Spanish-speaking world through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) and in Puerto Rico through the National Student Exchange (NSE).
