Choose Your VT PID Wisely
Once you accept our offer of admission, please allow two weeks for us to create your student record. Once your student record has been created, you can visit HokieSPA and follow the instructions to create your PID and password. After you successfully create your PID, go to HokieSPA to complete the remaining steps.
Your PID is your electronic identifier throughout your years at Virginia Tech. It's used for everything—signing up for orientation, registering for classes, checking your e-mail, participating in classes, etc.
When creating your PID, please keep in mind that this is identifier will be visible as your electronic identity to professors, potential employers, and others. Therefore, you please be sure to choose your PID wisely.
