Not Your Average Food and Shelter

Virginia Tech provides excellent on-campus dining options

You may be surprised to learn that our housing and dining is among the best in the country. Students in our campus residence halls can take advantage of the convenience of on-campus living and amenities like on-site workout facilities and choices of living accommodations.

When space us available, we provide traditional single-gender, and co-ed living experiences, as well as optional theme housing programs for transfer students. Theme housing offerings that transfer students can participate in include The W.E.L.L., MOSAIC, and The World. Blacksburg and the surrounding areas offer ample off-campus housing options as well. For more information, visit www.vtoch.uusa.vt.edu.

Dining Services at Virginia Tech is among the best you’ll find at any university. In fact, the food is so good that, in addition to our on-campus residents, nearly 6,000 off-campus students, as well as numerous faculty and staff members maintain a meal plan.

The chefs at Virginia Tech represent us in national competitions. We ranked No. 1 for Best Campus Food in Princeton Review's Best 371 Colleges (2010 ed.) and in 2009, we also received a prestigious Ivy Award from Restaurants & Institutions magazine. Our prize-winning West End Market, a restaurant-style dining center, and the newly renovated D2, combine with all our dining centers and well-known restaurants (Cinnabon, sbarro, Chick-Fil-A, Au bon Pain, to name a few) to offer students great food at just about any time, day or night.

Check out Student Programs on the web and click on the daily menus for some of our dining centers, check out the housing pages, and find out more. We hope you'll like what you see.
